Financial Group Launched to Help Women
Singer Xenos Wealth Management is launching the SX Women's Financial Services Group to address what the firm says are the overlooked financial needs of women.
Women tend to live longer than men and tend to have longer retirements, yet few are saving more than men or have a pension, said Faith Read Xenos, co-founder of the Coral Gables financial planning and asset management firm.
The new group will emphasize education and assistance, particularly for those who have little knowledge of financial affairs.
'It'll be like financial boot camp. We do meet with people who never had to do this before and who, through divorce or the death of a spouse, are coming up to speed after a lifetime of not knowing,'' she said.
The Women's Financial Services Group will hold its first seminar, Smart Women Finish Rich, June 7 at the Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. Speaking will be Lisa Kueng, who will lead a workshop based on David Bach's best-selling book, Smart Women Finish Rich, and Marsha Elser, a matrimonial attorney.
